Choose between male and female power leads.
Cameras come standard with 2.1mm male power connection. AC power supplies/adapters have a female end. These are very useful when running your own Siamese allowing you to leave the male connector on the camera uncut, and preserving the warranty.
Also, when using a power distribution center with prefab cables, you will need the female end to connect into the box and power your prefab cable. The male leads are occasionally required when repair to a camera that is out of warranty, or simply connecting to a camera for power through an ac power adapter.
